This school website provided a lot of information about how the school is actually run. There's a lot of information about the nursing office and how transportation works. How their bell schedule works and a lot of other things. Also provide a lot of information on who actually works at the school. Who is the principal assistant principal who are the counselors there. And provided a lot of links to help parents get to whatever information I need to know about this school. It also provides a calendar of all the days that there are no school or some type of upcoming events that that school specifically has.


When it comes to teaching with technology, a tool that I would automatically use is an AI checker. I plan to have essays a part of my teaching style so I would 100% have a system that would be able to check for any AI usage. Some other technology that I would envision using is certain type of learning apps for my students. Sometimes students need a physical thing rather than just listening to me repeat a lesson. Also, I would 100% utilize Google classroom or canvas and actually having access to a computer for my student.

While doing the critical evaluation assignment, I learned that AI is not the most effective of making lesson plans. I noticed that lesson plans that the AI made a lot of extra information. I felt like as a teacher you would have to add in a lot of extra information to make it a really successful lesson plan. And aspect that I think requires a human teacher is that understanding that human element and actually understanding how kids work. AI can't fully grasp exactly how an intention span for a child works. I noticed that a good lesson plan allowed a lot of time for the student to be able to ask questions and it involves having a lot of different ways of teaching the same lesson.

   In this class I hope to lean how technology will help improve my skills as a teacher. I would love to learn how new devices of technology is going to impact the field of education. When I was in school from K through 12, we never used word as our chosen way of writing for writing our essay. Now that I'm at FSU it is a very big game changer on how much the school promotes word and how many of my professors expect us to use for it. So I find that word is very complicated and I don't even fully understand all the components that has to offer. In comparison throughout K through 12 we use Google Docs as our chosen way of writing essays and doing assignments. I'm more used to Google Docs because I know of all the features that offers to my long exposure to it. Google Docs is my preferred use of technology when it comes to writing assignments. The most important ISTE Standard of education is learning. No one knows anything right away. They have to spend time learning about it and then in the sense for a teacher they have to learn how to adapt that to their teaching style. Some design skills that I developed while making my website was being able to figure out how to create a Google calendar and link to the calendar everyone can view it. Also linking a map to the location of the school for my website. Some other skills that I developed was understanding what type of colors work best together and what type of fonts and sizes work well. It was very important for my website to make sure that everything was legible and that everyone was able to read it and making sure that I followed along the guidelines that were set for a good website design. Understanding this website design will really help me in my future career in case I've ever have to make a website with resources for my students when I become a teacher.
