A new skill that I developed after doing assignment five was understand understanding how PowerPoint actually works. I was able to see the full extent of all the different commands, animations and transitions I can do in between slides. Something I really liked about this assignment that I could really do whatever topic I wanted and I was able to get really creative. I actually really enjoyed doing a lot of research about Disney and coming up with questions for that. Something I did not like was the amount of slides I had to make to create this whole thing. Something I'll do better. Next time is when I make my slides and I duplicate them I'm gonna make sure I have the button to return home and the button to get to the answers on each side rather than having to go back and add them individually.
So when I become a teacher and I teach the subject of history, I will 100% use surveys for data collection. I'm mostly gonna use the surveys as exit tickets and to make sure that my students understand what they learned. So I'm gonna ask them questions of any of the lessons was confusing to them what I can do better. I'm also gonna do the end of year analysis where I asked them what units really were not taught the best to them. They had a hard time remembering what was really helpful that we did in class for them when they took their exams. I'm also going to ask them when we review for the exam and they do a survey on which units they really need to review.
Technology related skill that I would like to learn is using Excel spreadsheets. So how I would achieve this goal is to sit down and watch videos explaining spreadsheets with the use of Excel I would spend about an hour a week or two doing this. After at least two weeks of watching videos I would start by focusing on creating spreadsheets. And actually practicing using the attachment itself. And then from there, I'm going to continue to use these types of spreadsheets in my daily life and as a future educator.
